Lisa joins Healthworks Wellness with many years of experience. She completed her Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies at the University of Regina in 1993. From there she went on to complete and obtain her Bachelor of Social Work and has been working with children, youth and families ever since. Lisa uses a strength-based, client centered, trauma informed approach. Lisa’s practice techniques are inferred by CBT, Brief Solution Focused therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy and Mindfulness. Lisa continues to learn about the importance of incorporating mindfulness and play therapy in our daily lives. She works in Collaboration with clients to identify goals, build skills and learn strategies to manage big emotions.

Kirsten approaches every interaction from a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective. She creates a compassionate, safe, and collaborative environment, supporting individuals’ healing and growth journey.
Kirsten is professionally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and fully incorporates this in her practice. Her practice is further informed by Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Kirsten has also studied yoga professionally, focusing on trauma-informed yoga.
